The REN Model
Redefining Resources
TSC is a dedicated regranting partner for foundations seeking to redistribute funding to small trans-led organizations. At the same time, money is only one of many resources our leaders can draw upon to thrive. Our leaders are strong, resilient, in touch with their communities, creative, brilliant communicators, and strategic innovators. These qualities and abilities are resources that we recognize, uplift, and invest in to grow self-sufficiency and sustainability in our communities.
Leveraging Expertise
TSC nurtures a national network of trans and gender nonconforming subject matter experts to develop curriculum and programming, and to provide highly tailored coaching and infrastructure development to our recipients.
Our emphasis on trans expertise highlights the importance of a combination of technical expertise and lived experience when designing infrastructure development to help our communities thrive.
Growing Networks
Every movement needs allies to thrive. The cultivation of networks is a critical part of the work TSC does in building a supportive safety net for trans-centered organizations. We focus on nurturing connections between community leaders in different regions, between leaders and mentors or elders, and between local community leaders and larger institutions.
